Movie Marathon: Matt Damon

Forget the tasks, I'm doing movie marathon again wohooo! This time is Matt Damon movie marathon.

Matthew Paige Damon, one of my favorite actors of all time. He is like the man that women dream of--I think I don't have to mention his physical appearance, well, who doesn't know Matt freakin Damon?
He was studying in Harvard (damn!) but he dropped out (DAMN!) to pursue his acting career because he thought that his film Geronimo: An American Legend would become a big success (which was not...). Yeah, yeah, when you read this story, you think that he had made a wrong decision--but look at him now. He's one of the famous actors now, he won Academy Awards, he was one of the highest grossing actor of all time, he was named Sexiest Man Alive (around 2007 I think?), and his movies are great. If you're a Harvard student and thinking about dropping out, I suggest you to think twice, unless you think you can beat Damon in this case :p

So, what makes you decided to do Matt Damon movie marathon?
It's all started when I watched Jimmy Kimmel's video "I'm F-@#ing Ben Affleck". Kimmel made this video as the response of his girlfriend at the time Sarah Silverman made a video entitled "I'm F-@#ing Matt Damon". The video that Silverman made was for a joke because Kimmel had to cut Damon's appearance (he's the last guest) in his show (Jimmy Kimmel Live!) due to time constrains. Both of the videos made me laugh so hard--and the hardest part was holding the laugh because I could disturb my housemates with my laugh. (They were all crazy, that's pure funny, watch it--I guarantee you a good laugh!) So, then I decided I would do Matt Damon or Ben Affleck movie marathon, with Damon being the first and would be followed by Affleck :D

Here's the list of his movies, according to the time I watched them:
1. Rounders (from Edward Norton movie marathon)
2. We Bought a Zoo
3. Good Will Hunting
4. Green Zone
5. The Brothers Grimm
6. The Departed
7. School Ties
8. True Grit
9. Contagion
10. The Adjustment Bureau
11. Gerry
12. The Talented Mr. Ripley
13. The Informant!
14. Saving Private Ryan
15. Hereafter
16. The Good Shepherd
17. Courage Under Fire
18. Ocean's Eleven
19. Ocean's Twelve
20. Ocean's Thirteen
21. The Bourne Identity
22. The Bourne Supremacy
23. The Bourne Ultimatum

I just downloaded three other Matt Damon movies (Happy Feet 2, Margaret, and Invictus) which I will watch later. I feel like the Bourne trilogy is the right closing for the movie marathon hehe :)

After watching all of them, do you have any specific movies that you've been into?
Hard question, really. Matt Damon is a great actor who's also smart in choosing movies. I do have favorites, but I don't know how many. Ok, let's just list them.

The first is Bourne Trilogy. MY FAVORITE TRILOGY EVER. Well, they don't call it 'trilogy' anymore because of the fourth installment The Bourne Legacy (which I love very much too). Other than that, this is the first Matt Damon movie I've seen. Damon played the main character Jason Bourne, a CIA assassin who suffers from memory loss and is trying to find out what happened to him, but his actions make the CIA think that he might be a dangerous threat. Oh, I love Jason Bourne soooo much. Guys, I suggest you to watch this movie. It is the best spy movie I've ever seen.

The second is The Adjustment Bureau. You know, I've already had this movie since 12th grader but I was kind of ignoring it because I had to study and blah blah. So, when the right time came, which was this Matt Damon marathon, I finally watched this movie........ and turned out I love it, love love love it. I also love Emily Blunt who is Damon's love interest in this movie. I first recognized her when she was still in relationship with Michael Buble (yeah, that's why I love her) but they broke up. The Adjustment Bureau follows a politician, David Norris (Damon) who falls in love with a ballerina, Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt), but a mysterious group of men is trying to keep them apart. Why? Just watch it~

The third is Ocean's Trilogy. I love heist movie, and Ocean's Trilogy are my favorites. Danny Ocean (George Clooney) recruits some people to work with him to do a robbery in some casinos. Damon plays Linus Caldwell, one of the members of Ocean's. And not only there are Damon and Clooney, but Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck as well!

The fourth is The Departed. Can you imagine watching Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mark Wahlberg in one movie? Then watch The Departed, you won't feel bored hahaha. Damon plays Colin Sullivan, a young criminal who is a member of an Irish Mafia led by Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson). Colin infiltrates Massachusetts State Police as an informant for the syndicate, while an undercover cop Billy Costigan (DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate the syndicate. They must race to uncover the identity of the 'informant' from opposite sides in order to save themselves. See? The plot sounds promising, right? Of course, The Departed won four Academy Awards, two of them being Best Picture and Best Director for Martin Scorsese. What are you waiting for? Three handsome men plus a good storyline? Watch it now!

The fifth is The Talented Mr. Ripley. Oh yeah Matt Damon and Jude Law! I knew this movie from my brother, who watched it on TV and told me that it was a good movie. Besides, he said, it had Matt Damon and Jude Law, and he was pretty sure that I would love this movie. And in fact, I do! The 'talented' Tom Ripley (Damon) is sent to Italy to bring home a rich and spoiled millionaire playboy Dickie Greenleaf (Law), but when they become close and Dickie suddenly dismiss him, Tom takes extreme actions. This movie is totally unexpected. I thought it was some kind of drama (in 90's Damon's movies are mostly drama!) plus a little bit of romance, but whoa, I did not see that coming!

The Sixth is Saving Private Ryan, definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen. The war looks real, the storyline is great, and the actors are amazing. Damon appears from the middle of the movie as Private James Ryan, a soldier whose brother are killed in action, and the group of soldiers led by Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks) is assigned to find him and bring him back home. I love this movie, I love the cast, I love the director, I love everything about it. It won five Academy Awards, including Best Director for Steven Spielberg.

The seventh is Good Will Hunting, where Matt Damon and Ben Affleck got their first Oscar (for Best Original Screenplay)! The story follows Will Hunting (Damon) who works at a janitor at MIT, but he doesn't realize that he has gift for mathematics. He is helped by a psychologist (Robin Williams) to find the right direction in life. Damon and Affleck, those two are the point of interest in this movie (at least for me :p), and I really love their friendship until now xD

Wow, it's seven! Yeah, if I could write about all 23 movies of his I watched, I would. He's so damn great, you know. I'm looking forward for his new movies Promised Land, Elysium, and others :))

"I never wanted to do the same kind of movies over and over anyway, so my theory on it all is I'm just gonna try and dodge the label and keep doing what I am doing."
-Matt Damon

Okay, see you in the next Movie Marathon post (Ben Affleck, I hope)! :)

Pics were taken from Google, then were made into a collage by me.

20.12.2012

Tanggal cantik, memang.

"Let me go home. I’m just too far from where you are. I wanna come home..."

"Aku ingin pulang, ingin cepat pulang. Berikan sayapmu agar aku pulang."

Intinya, saya pengen pulang.

08.30

Jadi, nggak perlu khawatir, perbanyak sholat dan doa, we don't know what will happen the next day right? :)

Happy 4th Birthday, Geek In The Green!

4th anniversary...

Selalu saja telat. Saya lihat posting tentang ulang tahun ke 3 GITG tahun lalu, ternyata di-post pada tanggal 24 November, seperti sekarang. Padahal, saya bukan anak kelas 3 SMA lagi (that was the reason why I posted the 3rd birthday post in November 24th) yang harus belajar sana-sini.

Tumben yaa gambarnya nggak warna hijau? Iya dong, soalnya waktu tanggal 23 November saya lagi pakai baju merah dan lagi demen banget sama lagunya Mbak Taylor Swift yang Red :D

Oh, and 4 is my favorite number, just so you know :)
Ok, this one is green because I just can't post GITG's birthday without the color green in it :/

Happy birthday, dude! Enjoy the loneliness I give you :')

Undeniably Undeniable Feeling

"Make sure you tell the people you love that you love them. Loudly and often. You never know when it might be too late."
- Tom Hiddleston (from his twitter status)

Jleb.

I'm having an undeniably undeniable feeling right now. I guess you know what feeling it is.
The four-letter word. (or five in Indonesian)

"Your love's a permanent distraction, a perfect interaction, a feeling so extreme. I lost my appetite to eat, and I barely get to sleep cause you're even in my dreams."
- Hope (from the song "Love Love Love" feat. Jason Mraz)

Movie Marathon: Edward Norton

Yeah, you know me. I'm that lazy and crazy girl who spends most of her time watching movies, even in the middle of deadly college tasks. I told you how different college and school are, but I'm still doing that same thing I did when I was in high school: movie marathon.

I don't care what time it is, what day it is, or what tasks that I haven't done, I just have to watch at least one movie a day to keep my mood up.

And now I've just done Edward Norton movie marathon.

For those who don't know (I don't expect you to know it anyway), Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors of all time. He is a great actor, cute, smart, cool, and a Yale graduate (!!!), oohhh what a dream man, but too bad, he's old enough to be my dad haha (FYI, he's the same age as my Mom).
So, what makes you decided to do Edward Norton movie marathon?
It's all started when I was watching The Bourne Legacy and found him as a good villain. But I was still crazy about Jeremy Renner that time (the last movie marathon I had was his movies!) so yeah I was kind of ignoring Norton. But then couple weeks later, I watched Moonrise Kingdom and realized how funny Norton's character (Scout Master Randy Ward) was. And the next day, I happened to (re)watch all his movies that I have, starting from Primal Fear.

Here's the list of his movies, according to the time I watched them:
1. The Bourne Legacy (yeah let's assume that this was the first film in my Edward Norton movie marathon)
2. Moonrise Kingdom
3. Primal Fear
4. The Illusionist
5. The Score
6. American History X
7. Keeping the Faith (Norton's directorial debut)
8. Red Dragon
9. Death to Smoochy
10. 25th Hour
11. Stone
12. Rounders
13. Pride and Glory
14. The Italian Job
15. The Incredible Hulk
16. Fight Club

Actually, there are many other movies of his, but I just have all of the above. Yep, most of them are action/thriller. Maybe next time I'll find the other movies :D

After watching all of them, do you have any specific movies that you've been into?
Yes! Yes, yes, and yes. Edward Norton is so great in playing any kind of roles, makes me rather hard to choose one or two of his movies as my favorite. But, here's my top 5.

The first is Red Dragon. Oh, I love this movie so much. Red Dragon is very special because it introduced me to the actor named Edward Harrison Norton. In other words, Red Dragon is the very first Edward Norton movie I've ever seen. I first watched it on the local TV and loved Norton ever since. It also stars Ralph Fiennes (another favorite actor of mine) as the villain. Norton plays a retired FBI agent Will Graham who is assigned back to track down a mysterious serial killer (Fiennes), with help of criminal genius Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). I'm telling you to watch this movie guys, seriously. You (probably) will instantly fall in love to Edward Norton hahaha.

The second is Primal Fear. This movie is Norton's motion picture debut. He plays Aaron Stampler, an altar boy who is accused of murdering a priest. A lawyer Martin Vail (Richard Gere) takes on his defense at no charge. If you see this movie, you will fall to Norton's innocent face, just like me. I mean, he was soooo young back then (the movie is released on 1996, he was still 27 years old!) and so handsome (of course). And this role led him to win Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and received nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Can you imagine it? Debut + great acting = awards! Watch it, guys, watch it. A little surprise for the ending.

The third is American History X. This one is so phenomenal, and once again, Norton received Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He plays Derek Vinyard, a former neo-nazi skinhead who's trying to prevent his younger brother (Edward Furlong) going down the same wrong path that he did. You can see Norton's transformation from being so brutal (when he's still a neo-nazi skinhead) to a very nice and caring guy (after gets out from prison). This movie is just that good, sometimes it plays my emotion, and as a result, I cried in the end of the movie. That's just me, what about you?

The fourth is Fight Club. Edward Norton and Brad Pitt? Me likey! Fight Club is just amazing. It is about an unknown man (also can be called The Narrator--played by Norton) who meets a soap maker Tyler Durden (Pitt) and together they form an underground fight club. Brilliant. I love the bromance between Pitt and Norton here. Besides, this is a great movie, guys! And super great bonus: Jared Leto co-starred! Although it's just a small role, but seeing three of my favorite actors on screen together is just... xD

The fifth is The Illusionist. Norton plays Eisenheim, a magician who falls in love to a woman (Jessica Biel) whose social standing is far above his. It sounds ordinary, but I'm telling you guys, the movie is beautiful and extraordinary. I usually don't like this kind of romance but The Illusionist is different. I was thinking about learning magic after seeing this movie haha ridiculous, I know. Maybe you will too? Just watch the movie. But be careful, nothing is what it seems.

Wait, wait! Only FIVE? Does this mean you don't like The Bourne Legacy, The Incredible Hulk, and the others?!
Hey I didn't say that! I chose those five because for me, those characters are the most unforgettable from Norton's career. Don't get me wrong, I love all his movies, I love The Bourne Legacy and The Incredible Hulk. But in TBL, the one who's got my attention is Jeremy Renner because he's the main actor. And as the scientist Bruce Banner, Norton is good, but somehow it doesn't fit him because of his previous roles (but he's sooo freaking handsome in this movie).

"I'm an actor and, each time out, I'm trying to convince the audience that I'm this character. Every little thing that people know about you as a person impedes your ability to achieve that kind of terrific suspension of disbelief that happens when an audience goes with an actor and character he's playing."
-Edward Norton

That's it from me. (Sorry for my broken English). I hope I can do Edward Norton movie marathon again :D
Looking forward for the next movie marathon! Which actor/actress do you think should I watch?

Welcoming the New Life

I am a college student now!!!

Ok, first I want to say Eid Mubarak to you all! I'm sorry it's late, I'm so busy.
Second, I'm sorry to my dearest blog GITG. I've been MIA since two months ago, finally I come back! Those two months are rough for me, many things happened to me, from good things to the bad ones. But I'm not here to talk about those things but my new life as a college student.

I am officially an Architectural student at University of Brawijaya, Malang, East Java. I'm not thinking about what will happen after those 4 years, let's just enjoy these for years before thinking the next :)

I think that's it from me. It's so short, I know. I'm so busy with these tasks, always sleeping late and waking up early, making me look like a zombie. I can drink cups of coffee just to keep me awake at night. But, if these tasks are going more and more crazy everyday, I think I'm gonna start drinking blood like the real zombie.

What? Of course I was kidding. I hate zombies! (Except I've watched 28 Weeks Later, a zombie movie, but it was just because Jeremy Renner is in it)

Oh, and... HAPPY EIGHTEEN FOR ME! Oh my God I feel so old ._. It feels like I was just turning 17 yesterday (yes, read here). So, what's so special about 18? Hmm... it was nothing special, but still unforgettable. I celebrated it with my Mom who was accompanying me in Malang before I started college. But, hey! Who said eighteen is old? I still got a dinosaur doll from my Mom :D

Another special things... I got birthday wishes from Abigail Breslin and Tom Cruise (his team though), and Gabriel Mann (Nolan Ross from the TV series Revenge) favorited my tweet. Yeah, I'm so happy! :D and thank you for the birthday wishes, I appreciate it guys :D

Sorry no pics from this post. I typed this post quickly so I wasn't thinking about pics hehe.
Bye and see you around!

Mraz, June, Love, and Tour Are Four Letter Words

Finally got to see Jason Mraz for the 2nd time in 7 months (check Mraz in Bali)! Call me crazy, but that's what a dedicated fan would do. If I was 17 or older when I first knew Jason, this would have been my 3rd time (with the first being Java Jazz concert, which I wasn't allowed to attend cause I was still 14 and was about to graduate from middle school *cries*).

Tour Is a Four Letter Word merupakan tur untuk mempromosikan album baru Jason Mraz yang berjudul Love Is a Four Letter Word.

Tapi, lagi-lagi konser Jason Mraz menjadi guilty pleasure buat saya. Was it pathetic or what?

Big Days Are Coming

Yes. Big day(s). Why uses 's'? Because the big day, the important day, is not just one. I have 3 upcoming big days, which will be the important parts of my life.

Graduation.
Yep, I'm graduated from high school. Yesterday I bought local newspaper and found my number in 'National Exam Graduation Announcement' section. Alhamdulillah, I put on my big smile, happiest face. In fact, the 12th grader in my school are 100% graduated. So happy, so proud.
The real graduation ceremony (in here we call it 'Perpisahan') is coming up on Tuesday. I have to wear Indonesian traditional clothes called kebaya, just like when I was graduated from Junior High School 3 years ago. I can't wait for this day, but I don't want this to happen either. I will miss my high school friends very much, although we didn't get along that much. Talking about getting along, since I've became a high school student, the 'real' me took over my life. I became quiet, careless, and loner in the same time. Maybe that's why I didn't have so many friends, but I did have some great friends who cared about me. High school memories are colorful, some beautiful and some bad. I'm gonna miss you guys so, so much. Thank you for making me a bit famous because of my films collection. Thank you for wishing me to be a director or film maker someday. Thank you for the greatest time of my life.

SNMPTN Tertulis (national examination for university)
Some of my friends already got into their dream universities. Congratulations, my friends, you deserve it. And me? I'm still trying to reach it, to make my dream comes true. The exam will be held on June 12-13 which is 15 days away. My heart is beating normally, that's what makes me worry. Why is everyone keep counting down to the exam and studying hard, while I'm still sitting here in front of my laptop, blogging about it? What's wrong with me?
I am afraid.
I am afraid I can't make my parents proud someday.
So yeah I will stop seeing Jarvis (my laptop's name, tribute to Tony Stark's computer program) for a while and focusing my mind on the exam. My dream.

Jason Mraz's concert
Okay, okay, maybe you guys are bored reading about this awesome guy in my blog, or about me having a (un)healthy obsession over him.
And yes, I will watch Jason Mraz again next month, June 22. (U mad, bro?)
His tour will be called Tour Is a Four Letter Word. It's a tour to promote his latest album Love Is a Four Letter Word (now available in your local CD store). Suddenly, everything important turns to be 'four letter word'.
Mraz Is a Four Letter Word.
June Is a Four Letter Word.
Wait Is a Four Letter Word.
Wait, wait............ I have another important thing to do in the same date.
Benteng Batu Awards.
BBA is my school's version of Academy Awards (or something like that). It's like prom night too. But it is in the same day with Jason Mraz's concert! Ah... But you know what will I choose. Not that I don't appreciate one of my school's big event, but...
Yeah. I will not go to the prom with my school friends. I will go with Jason instead hehehe...

That's it. See you another time, sorry for my broken English.

Greyson Chance Live In Jakarta

Greyson Michael Chance. Who doesn't know this adorable kid who amazed the YouTubers with his cover of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi a few years ago? He played this amazing piano version of Paparazzi, and I was like "He's a 6th grader? Am I being Punk'd?!"

And yeah, that's when I started to love him.

The Raid: A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

1 Ruthless Crime Lord. 20 Elite Cops. 30 Floors of Hell.

I just watched The Raid for the 2nd time. The first time was exactly a week ago, Saturday, March 24th 2012, when I had try outs for Math and Chemistry at school. I didn't care about the Chemistry questions on the paper, I only cared about this one Indonesian movie I had been waiting since last year!

I really had to thank my brother for telling me about this movie because IT IS WORTH THE WAIT.

You will think twice for saying it :D

Dia memang sudah memukau pecinta film dari perannya di film Merantau (another great movie, watch it guys!). :)

Iko Uwais as Rama. Gantengnya...
Kabarnya, The Raid akan segera dibuat remake versi Amerika-nya. That's the first for an Indonesian movie! Walaupun agak-agak "What? Remake? Seriously, Hollywood?" tapi itu suatu kemajuan untuk perfilman Indonesia! Saya cuma bisa berharap supaya remake-nya bagus, soalnya film aslinya aja udah bagus banget. I wonder who'll take the role of Rama, I hope he's as charming and good as Iko :)

Yuhuuu can't wait for it, Sir!
And I suggest don't buy popcorn, you won't eat it during the movie because you don't want to move your eyes from the screen :P

For me it's 9.7/10. Wow it's so high, isn't it? I'm a big fan of action movies, and because of The Raid, Indonesian cinema starts to find its way to go international. Yeah I'm so proud, we have to support it :)

TV Shows I've Been Addicted To (part 1)

Hiya there! I know I've been M.I.A since last month, it's because I'm too busy with 12th grader stuffs (study, test, try out, study, test, try out again). Now I'm done with my final examination which was so depressing. The only way to get out is by talking about my favorite TV shows <3

Here's the list (in order of when did I first watch it)

1. Heroes (2006-2010)

I love people with extraordinary ability! This was the first TV series I've been addicted to. Actually not the very first one that I watched, because a long time ago I watched Smallville when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, I loved it but I didn't care because in that time telenovela ruled my life!
Heroes follows the lives of some people with special ability, different backgrounds, but one destiny. What I love the most about Heroes is... SYLAR! Yeah, the handsome serial killer. My uncles were watching Heroes too and they agreed that Sylar (Zachary Quinto) was so cool. FYI, one of my uncles gave me Heroes DVD in my 13th birthday because he knew that I loved Heroes soooo much! :)) Now Heroes is cancelled, ended up in season 4, but I still love it and re-watch it when I have spare time.
My other posting about Heroes: Heroes

2. Supernatural (2005-present)

I know. I KNOW. This series is so great. I first watched it when I was in 8th grade and I was so addicted that I couldn't miss a single episode (it was aired Monday-Friday night) every night 5 days in a week! It became trending topic among my friends (4 of us -- me, Ega, Diba, and Fio) but it seemed like only me and Ega that follow this series until now. The series follows two brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester (played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki respectively) who are hunting demons and supernatural figures.
My other posting about Supernatural: A Big Brother

3. Hannah Montana (2006-2011)

Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) is an ordinary schoolgirl, but at night, she's the superstar Hannah Montana. She must keeps it as a secret, only her father, brother, and two best friends who know it.
Too childish? Go away then! :P I've loved this series since I first saw it on Disney Channel. I was in 8th grade so yeah I loved it! But now I'm a 12th grader and I still love it. I love sitcoms, hilarious! :D

4. Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012)

I started loving Selena Gomez from this series. Her incredible work as Alex Russo, the middle child of a wizard family, amazed me. Alex, along with her brothers Justin and Max Russo (David Henrie and Jake T. Austin), are young wizards with magical abilities competing to win sole custody of the family powers. I love wizards, witches, and that kinda thing :P in addition, it's funny!

5. JONAS/Jonas L.A. (2009-2010)

Three brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick Lucas (Jonas Brothers) are the members of the band JONAS. Although they're famous, they try to live their ordinary life with their parents and little brother.
Once I watched Disney, I couldn't stop watching it. And ta-da! JONAS showed up and I fell in love with the series. I love the band too, their songs rock! Sadly, the series is cancelled after season 2 (the title changed to Jonas L.A.)

6. The Vampire Diaries (2009-present)

Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) falls in love with a vampire named Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). But Stefan's charming vampire brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) shows up and falls in love with Elena. Who should Elena choose?
Who said love triangle is boring? It's no boring if it's about vampire! Forget Twilight and blah, TVD is something new! It's based on the novels written by L.J. Smith and published in 1991, sooo far away than Twilight. My friend Diva first introduced me with this series. I love it!

No Boundaries

With every step you climb another mountain
Every breath it's harder to believe
You make it through the pain, whether the hurricanes
To get to that one thing

Just when you think the road is going nowhere
Just when you almost gave up on your dreams
They take you by the hand and show you that you can
There are no boundaries

(No Boundaries - Kris Allen)

 THERE ARE NO BOUNDARIES...
...TO REACH YOUR DREAMS.
NOTHING'S GONNA BRING ME DOWN.

Favorite Sherlock Moments

Sometimes I can't get enough of something I really love, and I just have to talk about it twice or more. I'm loving this BBC's Sherlock. It's so good, and it's not always serious. Sometimes it has its sweet and funny moments/dialogs between the characters (especially Sherlock and John, of course). Here are some of my favorite ones:

Sherlock Holmes: The name's Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221B Baker Street. Ck. Afternoon!

Sherlock Holmes: Okay, You've got questions...
John Watson: Yeah, where are we going?
Sherlock Holmes: Crime scene. Next?
John Watson: Who are you? What do you do?
Sherlock Holmes: What do you think?
John Watson: I'd say... private detective...
Sherlock Holmes: But?
John Watson: But the police don't go to private detectives.
Sherlock Holmes: I'm a consulting detective. Only one in the world, I invented the job.
John Watson: What does that mean?
Sherlock Holmes: Means when the police are out of their depth, which is always, they consult me.

Sherlock Holmes: Shut up.
Inspector Lestrade: I didn't say anything.
Sherlock Holmes: You were thinking, it's annoying.

(after checking the victim's body in crime scene)
Inspector Lestrade: Got anything?
Sherlock Holmes: Not much.
Anderson: She's German. "Rache". It's German for revenge. She could be trying to tell us something--
Sherlock Holmes: (slams door) Yes, thank you for your input.

(Sherlock sends text messages to John)

John Watson: Well? You asked me to come, I'm assuming it's important.
Sherlock Holmes: Oh yeah, of course. Can I borrow your phone?
John Watson: My phone?
Sherlock Holmes: Don't want to use mine. Always a chance my number will be recognised. It's on the website.
John Watson: Mrs. Hudson's got a phone.
Sherlock Holmes: Yeah, she's downstairs. I tried shouting but she didn't hear.
John Watson: I was the other side of London!
Sherlock Holmes: There was no hurry.
(a few minutes later, Sherlock asks John to send a text)
John Watson: You've brought me here... to send a text.
Sherlock Holmes: Text, yes. The number on my desk.

Dr. John Watson: Why didn't I think of that?
Sherlock Holmes: Because you're an idiot. No, no, no, don't look like that. Practically everyone is.

Sgt Sally Donovan: Are these human eyes?
Sherlock Holmes: Put those back!
Sgt Sally Donovan: They were in the microwave.
Sherlock Holmes: It's an experiment!

(poor Anderson, lol :P)

(nearly the end of episode)
Sherlock Holmes: Why have I got this blanket? They keep putting this blanket on me.
Inspector Lestrade: Yeah, it's for shock.
Sherlock Holmes: I'm not in shock.
(a few minutes later, Sherlock explains about what happened)
Sherlock Holmes: Actually, do you know what? Ignore me.
Inspector Lestrade: Sorry?
Sherlock Holmes: Ignore all of that. It's just the er... the shock talking.
Inspector Lestrade: Where are you going?
Sherlock Holmes: I just need to... talk about the rent.
Inspector Lestrade: I've still got questions.
Sherlock Holmes: What now? I'm in shock! Look, I've got a blanket!

(Sherlock is shooting the wall)
John Watson: What the hell are you doing?!
Sherlock Holmes: Bored.
John Watson: What?
Sherlock Holmes: Bored! (shoots) Bored! (shoots) Don't know what's got into the criminal classes. Good job I'm not one of them.
Dr. John Watson: So you take it out on the wall?
Sherlock Holmes: Ah, the wall had it coming.

....and many more.

Currently Addicted to: Sherlock

Yes, it's the same genius man we are talking about, but in the different media and actors.

How cool!). Sepertinya memang sengaja dibuat demikian, supaya generasi muda seperti saya (ceileh) lebih nyambung nontonnya. Hmm...

Honestly, I hate someone who likes to compare them. I love all of them!

Sherlock and John in action!

Very, very, very recommended for you guys, especially Sherlock Holmes fans (of course!), detective fans, and British guy fans (I know a lot of you love British guys!).
Thumbs up for Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss! (FYI, Mark Gatiss plays Sherlock's brother Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock)
Rating IMDb nya pun tinggi: 9.0/10. So, buat apa nunggu, guys? BURUAN TONTON!!!

Cumberbatch and Freeman; Sherlock won BAFTA Awards for Best Drama Series!

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!

First posting in 2012!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This posting would look like exactly like last year's. Actually, there's not much to talk about because I rarely update this blog. And 2011 for me is... Hmm, so-so. (LONG LIVE FANGIRL!) xD

In 2011, I felt like I war the stupidest person in the Earth. Lho kenapa?

Heck yeah, who doesn't want to?

Ah, it's not a good time for galau-ing right friends? It's time to share good and bad memories that happened to me in 2011!

1. January - Fresh start
Finished my 1st draft of novel and sent it to the publisher. Harap-harap cemas nungguin hasilnya, keringat dingin, sekaligus rasa pesimisnya makin berkobar. But I still could wish Adam Lambert a very wonderful 29th birthday.

2. February - Rotten
Nothing important happened. Sad.

3. March - #horrorshortstory and the birth of a dream
I started to post/tweet about #horrorshortstory. Read the first episode (Blackout edition) and second episode (Hospital edition). Episode ke dua, cukup membuat beberapa teman saya bergidik ketakutan. Yes!
Oh, and... why did I say "the birth of a dream"? Yeah, ini bulan dimana saya makin pengen jadi sutradara karena drama Tri Mas Ketir. Dimana saya baru ngerasain kata 'galau' itu.

4. April - Alan Wake era and the death of a dream
Had some problem with some friends. Not friends 'friends', but just ordinary friends. I wrote them a super random letter. Don't read it, it's random and it's not recommended.
And it was the first time for me to get really really excited and addicted to one game and finished it just about a month! (I could play games only in weekend) The game is called Alan Wake. You guys should play it, especially for horror-thriller-mystery lover like me. Recommended!
Wait, wait... "The death of a dream"?! No, it had nothing to do with the director/filmmaker thingy. It was about the novel draft I sent to the publisher. It got rejected. But it's okay... Kegagalan adalah keberhasilan yang tertunda :)

5. May - Criminal Minds era
I started to watch Criminal Minds and fell in love for it! Great TV series! SPENCER REID, I LOVE YOU!
One more.... Hugh Jackman tweeted me on Twitter! *happy tears*

It really was a random tweet. I never thought that he would reply.
6. June - The end of sweet academic year
I was preparing myself to be a 12th grader. I couldn't leave my 11th grader friends... They're so kind. I love you guys. Oh, and the only posting I posted is Birthdays in June (Too busy, whooops). Love those guys :)

7. July - Pretty Little Liars era and best day of my life #1
Found another good TV series called Pretty Little Liars. Girls, watch it! Still didn't forget Criminal Minds though :)
I was being a 12th grader. XII IPA 7.
And best day of my life... I WATCHED 30 SECONDS TO MARS! Finally... guys, I still couldn't believe that I saw Jared, Shannon, and Tomo right in front of my eyes! :')

8. August - Leto obsession and comic maker era
Jared Leto in Hugo Boss made me almost forget to post my previous grade's final English assignment: comic. It was called Will & Harry: Modern Corpses.

9. September - I'M SEVENTEEN!
I really had a sweet seventeen birthday.... Sweetest birthday I could ever imagine :)

10. October - BUSY
Sorry, this page doesn't exist.

11. November - Best day of my life #2
I WATCHED JASON MRAZ! GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Okay, done, it's one of the best days of my life. Wait, did I cry? Oh God, YES. It was beautiful. GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! And this blog, Geek in the Green is 3 years old! Yay!

12. December - Website thingy and closing of 2011
Finished my website (VISIT IT! TOLD YA, VISIT IT!) and I wished Jared Leto and Zach Mills a very wonderful birthday. I love them :) and it was my last post of 2011.

I hope... Well, I can't say that. I always say "I hope" but it never happens. So, I'd say...

I will make my parents proud. I will study hard. I will reach my dream. I will finish my books and movies. I will be a good fangirl. I will lose some weight.

I WILL.
Don't look back on yesterday! :)
